Excel Multiplication Formula

Use the asterisk * to multiply in Excel.

Multiply two cells

=D2*E2

Multiply many values

=PRODUCT(B2:B5)

Multiply by a fixed number

Lock the cell with $ so it doesn't move when you copy down: =D2*$H$1.

Multiply and add in one step

=SUMPRODUCT(D2:D6,E2:E6)

This multiplies each Qty by its Price and adds the results, so you don't need a helper column.
