Excel Shortcut Trainer

10 tasks, one live sheet, your real keyboard. Do each task with a shortcut as fast as you can. Show the keys if you're stuck.

Click Start, then keep your hands on the keyboard. The sheet is already focused.

The trainer needs a physical keyboard. On a phone, use the cheat sheet instead.

Frequently asked questions

How does the shortcut trainer work?

Each round gives you 10 tasks on a live sheet. Press the real Excel keys; the task completes when the sheet looks right, so any correct method counts.

Does it work on a Mac?

Yes. Switch to Mac and the trainer asks for Mac keys. Tasks with no default Mac shortcut, like Merge & Center, are left out.

Why are some shortcuts missing?

Browsers keep a few keys for themselves, such as Ctrl+PageDown and F12, so those can't be practised in a web page.

Do I earn points?

Yes. Each shortcut earns leaderboard points once a day, more for speed and half if you show the keys.
